Festivals without sweets seems to be incomplete. There are many types of sweets that are being prepared during festivals but without kheer every festivals seems to be incomplete. kheer is often given as offering during puja. Its traditional dish made up of rice and milk. So here are the easy steps and the ingredients to cook the dish
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 and 1/2 cup rice( basmati preferable)
- 1 liter milk
- Gud or jagerry
STEP 1:
The first step is to boil the rice. Do not cook the rice fully.Boil it till its half cooked. Then place a pan and pour the milk into it. Heat the milk till it starts boiling. At this time add the half boiled rice. Then lower the flame of the gas and let the rice get cooked. Stir the the rice from time to time least it gets burned.
STEP 2:
Meanwhile, while the rice gets cooked take a pan add some water to it. Heat it and add the jaggery to it. Once the jaggery melts fully switch off the gas . At this time once the rice gets cooked add the melted jaggery to it and switch off the gas. Then, after a minute mix the jaggery properly in the kheer.

The kheer is ready garnish it with some dry fruits and serve it.
