SUJI KA CHILLA- THE PERFECT BREAKFAST FOR A BUSY DAY

Suji ka chilla is type of dosa made from suji( semolina) and besan(gram flour). Chillas are healthy breakfast option and as they can be made very easily,  they serve a perfect breakfast delicacy on a busy day. So here are the steps and ingredients to make this recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
  •  1 small cup suji
  • 1 small cup besan
  • 2 cups of dahi(curd)
  • 1/2 teaspoon haldi(turmeric powder)
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 green chili
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves(optional)
  •  Salt to taste
PROCEDURE:

STEP 1:
 The first step is to take a bowl and mix the suji, besan and curd in a bowl. Mix them properly so there are no lumps in it, while mixing them slowly add water to it and make a thick batter out of it. Let the batter rest for an hour.

STEP 2:
While the batter rests chop the onion and green chili into small pieces. After an hour add some more water to the batter , and the consistency should be similar to that of the utapam batter. Now add the chopped onion, green chili, curry leaves,turmeric powder and salt and mix them well of the batter.

STEP 3:
Now take  a tawa (flat pan)and garnish it well with oil. Now , when the tawa is hot put the batter into it,and cook it for a minute. Then flip sides and within five to ten minutes the chilla will be ready. Serve the chilla with green chutney or sauce
